This series focuses on a female, family dynamic that explores self-expression through clothing and personal style. My family is photographed in front of our closets, an intimate space within our room that acts as an extension of our personality. We are also pictured in front of our favorite places to shop. Growing up, my mom let us equally get a couple of cheap but stylish pieces. I remember what she would say to my siblings & I whenever we’d go to the store (especially for school shopping, for example, which was a particularly stressful time for her financially) during my childhood. Our familial bond is connected to the idea of buying and sharing these material items with one another which continues to be a prevalent part of our relationship.
